More than 200 students spent their night in Eldoret police cells after they were arrested for partying in a club.

Speaking in Eldoret town on Monday, Uasin Gishu County director of Alcoholic Drinks Control Board Armstrong Rono said the club's management will be arraigned in court for allowing minors into their premises.

“These children were engaging in immoral behaviour since there were condoms found at the scene,” said Rono.

He advised parents to always monitor on their children’s activities especially during school holidays to avoid a recurrence of such incidents.

“None of these children will be taken to court but the club management will face a serious consequence,” the director said.
