Uasin Gishu governor-elect Jackson Mandago has offered a word of advise to tycoon Zedekiah Bundotich Buzeki who unsuccessfully vied for the gubernatorial seat in the recent general elections.
Buzeki finished behind Mandago who retained his seat in a tightly contested race.Speaking after he was declared the winner, Friday, Mandago asked Buzeki to consider shifting his business operations base from the coast to Eldoret town so as to increase chances of being the second Uasin Gishu governor.
"I want to ask by brother Buzeki to bring more investments in this county and be close to mwananchi and maybe he might be considered to succeed me once I am done with my second term," Mandago said at the Eldoret National Polytechnic.
Buzeki, an established billionaire entrepreneur has invested heavily in the transport sector and owns a fleet of lories for long distance cargo transportation registered under the Buzeki logistics company.
Its believed his company's operations nerve are in the coastal county of Kilifi.
Buzeki declared interest for the Uasin Gishu governor's seat only three months to the general elections and was able to change the political landscape in the county forcing Mandago had to work extra hard to retain his seat.
