Uasin Gishu County Deputy governor Daniel Chemno has strongly defended governor Jackson Mandago, following claims that he intends to defect from Jubilee party.

Chemno termed the allegations as mere propaganda by Mandago's political rivals.

"Governor Mandago is in Jubilee. He was elected through URP which merged to form Jubilee and he is not moving. Those who claim he is moving from Jubilee are political rivals,'' he said.

Speaking in his office at the County headquarters, Eldoret, Chemno warned aspirants from propagating propaganda for political gains, saying it was threat to the County's unity.

"Mandago is Jubilee 'damu'. He is not leaving. Not now, not later,'' he said, over the weekend.
