Uasin Gishu county governor Jackson Mandago has urged both local and international investors to invest in the North Rift Economic Bloc (Noreb) counties where there are numerous opportunities.
Speaking during the opening ceremony of Noreb Investment Conference on Wednesday, Mandago who is the interim chairman said that the conference will boost the level of investment in the region.
"The conference will showcase investment opportunities and also provide information in various sectors where investment can be done," he said.
He said that the conference will serve as a platform that will bring together local and international investors thus will increase investment in the member counties.
"Our unity will enhance more bargaining power when it comes to security and wooing investors since the bigger you are the bigger the bargaining power," he said.
The conference will bring together eight counties who are members of Noreb including Uasin Gishu, Nandi, Trans Nzoia, Baringo, Turkana, West Pokot, Samburu and Elgeyo Marakwet counties.
