Uasin Gishu governor Jackson Mandago has called on Baringo County residents to vote out the incumbent Senator Gideon Moi.
Speaking on Saturday during a Jubilee Party rally in Baringo, the County Chief further laughed off the lawmaker's 2022 presidential bid, terming it "unrealistic."
He further called on the residents to back Deputy President William Ruto in 2022, even as succession politics shape up in the country.
"If Gideon Moi wants to work with the government, he has to concede defeat and cross over to Jubilee so he can be accommodated and slotted in a certain seat, lest he remains in the cold," the governor declared.
He also took a swipe on Independence Party KANU, pronouncing it dead.
Kanu has been attempting to stamp its authority in North Rift.
The political meeting ended in disarray when Kanu supporters stormed the rally chanting the outfit's slogans.
