[Photo: Courtesy]Uasin Gishu governor Jackson Mandago has dismissed claims that his political relationship with Deputy President William Ruto is falling.The Jubilee governor attacked the media, accusing it of misreporting information, claiming there is a rift between North Rift Jubilee politicians and top Jubilee leadership.Mandago, alongside his allies, Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi and Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter were quoted warning top Jubilee leadership to stop supporting independent candidates who lost in Jubilee party primaries in April.According to the trio, it did not make sense for independent candidates to oppose county Jubilee candidates, and claim they supported President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto's re-election.Mandago, Sudi and Keter threatened to support Jubilee rivals during elections, if top party leadership does not support their bid.However during Jubilee party campaign in Kapseret, Saturday, Mandago changed tune.He said he was fully behind UhuRuto's second term bid, and accused the media of reporting speculations."Who told you there are high temperatures in Uasin Gishu and North Rift? Stop feeding people with false information. Do you gauge temperatures? Do you have thermometers?" Mandago attacked the media.Uhuru and Ruto were in his county, to rally support for the party, with Mandago affirming that his county was behind Jubilee.
