Governor Jackson Mandago has taken an early lead against his main rival Kiprop Bundotich Buzeki in the race for the Uasin Gishu county gubernatorial race.

According to official results, Mandago has won in two in Kesses and Moiben Sub counties.

In Kesses sub-county, Mandago garnered 25,404 votes with Buzeki getting 13, 014 votes.

Mandago registered 20,454 votes while Buzeki had 17, 871 votes.

Results for the other four sub-counties have not been released as voting is still ongoing.
