Uasin Gishu governor-elect Jackson Mandago and his competitor Zedekiah Bundotich 'Buzeki' have pledged to work together for the benefit of mwananchi in the county.

Speaking when they met for the first time after the closely contested elections, the two said they had put aside their political differences and will now focus on developing the county together.

"The political season has ended and it's paramount that we now join hands for the betterment of our peoples livelihoods," said Mandago on Tuesday at Chepkoiyo village in Kesses during the burial of Joseph Kiptoo.

Similar sentiments were shared by Buzeki who urged residents in the county to bury their political differences and support Mandago's administration.

"I will work with governor Mandago as all I want is to see this county develop and I urge my supporters to also rally behind him," noted the billionaire businessman."

"Personally I will be among the investors in this county as I plan to open a milk factory," he added.

Mandago was declared the winner for the Uasin Gishu gubernatorial contest after garnering 193,606 votes against Buzeki's 148,121.
