Three Members of Parliament from the North Rift region have been asked to follow the right channel in resolving controversies surrounding their election to chair various national Parliament committees.

The three, Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter, Silas Tiren (Moiben) and Bowen Kangogo (Marakwet East) have been battling to retain their leadership roles in various committees which they were elected contrary to the wishes of their party, Jubilee.

Uasin Gishu governor Jackson Mandago says the MPs should stop public spats over the matter.

Speaking in Eldoret town, Mandago, a Jubilee governor, however, seemed to distance himself to the discussions as to whether the three should be allowed to continue with their posts or not.

"Members of Parliament need to solve their issues in Parliament and not squaring out in public," Mandago noted.

The Jubilee party is seeking to replace the three MPs from North Rift who have reportedly defied orders from President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto to resign from the posts they had been elected. Is there a newsworthy accident, incident or event happening in Uasin Gishu that you want Hivisasa to cover?
