Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago has condemned NASA leaders for withdrawing from October 26 presidential election. He said the aim of the opposition leaders is to sabotage the country's economy through their demonstrations."It's time the opposition should stop sideshows and prepare for the elections. Kenyans want to move away from elections to concentrate on development activities,” he said  in Eldoret town, Sunday. "They fear elections because they know we will trounce them therefore want to get leadership through the back door. One only becomes a president through an electoral process and not through demonstrations and press conferences," he added. Governor Mandago urged opposition leader Raila to retire from active politics if he is not prepared for the elections."We are tired of their rhetoric and stories the country needs to move on. There will be no postponement of elections," he added.
