According to Uasin Gishu County governor Jackson Mandago, Sh156 million has been set aside for ECDE infrastructure while Sh55 million for health.

"The Sh156 million will be used to construct 260 ECDE each costing 600,000," he said.

Speaking during the issuance of Cheques at the county headquarters on Friday, Mandago said 270 ECDE classes have been constructed since he took office.

He said, he will also ensure that hospitals are fully stocked with drugs, equipment and enough staff.

He added  that the county purchased drugs worth Sh9 million shillings which will be distributed to all wards hospitals.

"I give a stern warning to nurses and doctors who are fond of stealing drugs and selling them that they will be arrested and charged," he said.
