Uasin Gishu governor Jackson Mandago has applauded the move by President Uhuru Kenyatta and NASA leader Raila Odinga to bury their political differences and work for the unity of the nation.
The Jubilee governor said it was in order for the two leaders to come together noting that the will bring peace and cohesion in the country.
"I want to applaud the two leaders for this noble course since it will bring down the political temperatures and people will now concentrate on development instead of politics which has been the order of the day," Mandago said in Eldoret town, Monday.
"I am on record telling President Uhuru Kenyatta to set an office for the opposition leader Raila Odinga to conduct his businesses. I am really happy and any person of good will should support the move because it will bring unity in the country and end the electioneering period," added the county boss.
He, however, urged the other NASA principals to join the Jubilee government instead of condemning Raila Odinga for meeting the President.
"I call upon the other three principles to swallow their pride and join Raila Odinga since its good for the national development," noted Mandago.
