Uasin Gishu gubernatorial hopeful and businessman Kiprop Bundotich alias Buzeki has now claimed that governor Jackson Mandago has sensed defeat.
Buzeki was speaking shortly after Mandago linked him to hate leaflets that have been circulating in Eldoret town.
Speaking on Monday, Mandago claimed that Buzeki had hatched a plot to brand him warmonger through the circulation of the hate leaflets.
“Those Buzeki [Kiprop] people are busy circulating forged county letters, claiming we ordered some people to vacate county houses before the upcoming election. That is incitement and I’ve asked the police to take action,” Mandago said.
However, in a quick rejoinder, Buzeki rubbished Mandago's claims, observing that the governor was acting out of panic.
“He is panicking and coming up with such claims after the release of the opinion poll results, which indicated clearly that I’m ahead. Such claims against me will not help him,” he said.
