Uasin Gishu governor Jackson Mandago has asked Nyeri residents to come out in large numbers and vote for President Uhuru Kenyatta in the upcoming repeat Presidential election.

Addressing a congregation during a Sunday mass at Karatina Catholic church, Mandago urged the faithfuls to pray for the country ahead of the October 26 poll.

The governor who doubles up as the North Rift Jubilee Presidential campaigns chairman had accompanied other Central Kenya leaders.

Later in the day, the vocal Jubilee governor is expected to lead a series of Jubilee rallies in Nyeri county to drum up support for President Uhuru Kenyatta.
