Governor Jackson Mandago has said that his ministers need to spend a lot of their time in the grassroots.

Speaking during a day-long tour and inspection of projects-cum barazas, Mandago gave the directive.

"There is a lot to be done and heard in the grassroots, it is for this reason that I want these ministers to spend time with the people," said Mandago.

According to the firebrand governor, the people are the biggest employers who dictate and have the biggest say.

Mandago says by spending more time with the people, the ministers will get to learn what is a people's priority, either water, roads or education.

"The people employed us and they have the biggest say. In a devolved government, decisions of development and project lie with the people, Mandago said.
