Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago has praised the Kenya Red Cross on its active participation in humanitarian aid and assistance in the country.
Speaking to the media on Tuesday shortly after flagging off medical equipment donated by the Kenya Red Cross at the county's headquarters, the governor committed to support the organisation's initiatives across the country.
"We appreciate what you are doing especially in matters of emergency response and disaster preparedness as a county as well as the North Rift Economic Bloc (Noreb)," he said.
"We will support and work with you in all aspects meant to help the common mwananchi," he added.
Uasin Gishu County received medical equipment valued at Sh12.9 million donated by the Kenya Red Cross.
