Uasin Gishu governor-elect Jackson Mandago says he is yet to make a decision on whether he will retain his current County Executive members (CeCs) and Chief Officers (COs) rather referred to as county Cabinet.
According to the law, CeCs and their Chief Officers term expires once the governor's 5-year term comes to an end.
Speaking in Eldoret, Tuesday, Mandago who was recently reelected said "I will have to go and dream about this matter before making a final decision. Don't expect me to retain all those officers, but also don't expect me to replace all of them."
The governor-elect further hinted that he might consider performance of each of his top officers when deciding whether to retain them or not.
"Definitely how one performed in his/her docket is going to have an impact in my decision," Mandago said.
After surviving a spirited competition from tycoon Zedekiah Bundotich 'Buzeki', Mandago is said to be considering rewarding some of the individuals with appointment in his administration, especially those from the non-Kalenjin communities who helped him retain his seat.
