Governor Jackson Mandago has revealed that his administration will put emphasis on ensuring each household in Uasin Gishu has easy access to clean water should he be given a second term in office.
Speaking during a vote hunting mission in Ng'enyilel, Turbo, Saturday, Mandago noted that he will put in place measures that will see at least a borehole drilled in each public utility across the county.
"We will drill boreholes in schools, hospitals, trading centres among other institutions as this will subsequently transform to locals benefiting from the water as well," noted governor Mandago.
He further pointed out that elderly persons ages above 70 years will get a monthly stipend from his county government.
The governor who is seeking a second term on the Jubilee party ticket further pleaded to ensure Women and the Youth have access to low interest rate loans.
"For the past four years we've been focusing on giving loans to Sacco's and now we will seek to expand that program to include women and the youth so that they can use the money to improve their livelihoods," Mandago said.
"I plan to also establish village administration so as to speed up my administration's projects at the grassroots," he added.
