Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago has pleaded with Jubilee leaders from Mt. Kenya region to support Deputy President William Ruto for Presidency in 2022.
Mandago speaking in Eldoret town said the good working relationship between President Uhuru Kenyatta and DP Ruto should not be taken for granted by some Jubilee leaders in the region.
“UhuRuto have been working together in peace since 2013 when they formed the government. We also need to support DP Ruto in 2022 because he helped Uhuru become President in 2013 and 2017. Some selfish Kikuyu Jubilee leaders must respect DP Ruto and stop misleading Kenyans that DP Ruto will not get the Kikuyu community’s support in 2022,” he said.
Mandago further called on Baringo Senator Gideon Moi to drop his presidential ambitions in 2022 and instead support Ruto.
"I wish to remind Senator Moi to remember what happened to former Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto during the last year’s polls. Governor Ruto tried to compete with DP Ruto but failed terribly. The same thing will happen to Moi if he will continue competing with DP Ruto. Senator Moi should consider supporting Ruto in 2022 or he faces humiliation,” said Mandago.
