Uasin Gishu governor Jackson Mandago has affirmed his administration's commitment to ensuring county staff operates within favorable working conditions.
The governor pointed out that quality service delivery to mwananchi and success of devolution can only be achieved through a hardworking workforce.
Speaking during the county staff end year party at Teachers Advisory Centre (TAC) center in Eldoret, Mandago revealed that plans are ongoing to build housing units for the staff through a partnership with the National Social Security Fund (NSSF).
"Currently we don't have sufficient houses for our staffs and the ones we have which we inherited from the defunct local authorities some are very old," Mandago said.
"In partnership with NSSF we are going to build affordable houses for you," added the governor.
He further promised to promote hardworking staff so as to motivate others to focus on quality service delivery to the people."We will also be offering regular training to our staff so as to enhance their skills," said Mandago.
