Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago has finalised on a list of County Executive Committee Members (CeCs) he intends to appoint to be in charge of various departments in the county.

According to the governor's Director of Communication Silas Tarus, names of 10 CeC appointees will be tabled in the County Assembly once it begins its sittings.

The assembly had been earlier scheduled to begin sittings on Tuesday this week but was later pushed to Thursday.

"We are waiting for the MCAs to resume sittings. This is when we will be able to forward the names of the CeCs nominees to the Assembly clerk who will thereafter table it to the members," Tarus said in Eldoret, Monday.

The MCAs have been attending a retreat in Mombasa after they were sworn in to office about a fortnight ago. Tarus reaffirmed that the new cabinet will reflect the face of the county.

The Eldoret Residents Association (ERA) had urged the governor to ensure his new administration has all the communities living in the county represented.

"I am not so sure about the number of CeCs he is going to appoint from other tribes but I can assure you that this being a cosmopolitan County, we shall have other communities occupying the positions of Chief Officers, Ward Administrators and Departmental directors," said Mandago's director of communication.
