Uasin Gishu governor Jackson Mandago has appointed 10 County Executive Committee members who will be in charge of various departments in his second term in office.
The governor on Thursday forwarded names of the nominees to the County Assembly for vetting and either approval or rejection.
In the list that was tabled in the Assembly by the majority leader Josphat Lowoi, Mandago has retained only two County executives that served during his first term in office.
The two are Eng. Gideon Birir who has been nominated to retain the Roads, Transport, Energy and Public Works department and Mary Njogu in the Department of Water, Environment, Natural Resources, Tourism, and Wildlife docket.Mandago's new cabinet has four women compared to the previous two.
The governor as also merged Trade and Information communication into some department that will be headed by Dr. Emily Jeptanui Koros.Barnabas Tarus has been nominated to head the newly created Devolution and Administration department that has been merged with the Public Service management.
