Mandago showers his namesake with Christmas goodies

Christmas came early for the family of a mother of triplets who hit the headlines in August after naming her young ones after Uasin Gishu election victors.

H.E Governor Jackson Mandago visited and gave Christmas goodies to the family of Winny Chebet, a mother who gave birth to triplets in the August electioneering stint and surprised many with the naming of her newborns.

The 36-year-old mother, who hails from Kaptich village in Uasin Gishu County named the son after Governor Mandago as a gift to the Governor's victory in the County's gubernatorial race.

The two girls, she named Gladys (Shollei) and Janet (Rotich) the Uasin Gishu Women Rep and MP for Turbo respectively.

“I have just come to visit my namesake who is four months old and ensure that he enjoys Christmas together with his sister. All Kenyans should follow suit and help[ those in need during this festive season. Blessed is the hand that gives than one that receiveth,” he added.

Uasin Gishu First Lady, Lucy, also accompanied the County Chief as hosts benefited from goodies, among them, a goat.
