Jackson Mandago has been declared the winner for the closely contested Uasin Gishu gubernatorial seat.
Mandago garnered 193,606 votes to beat his rival businessman Zedekiah Bundotich popularly known as Buzeki who had 148,121 votes.
Speaking at the Eldoret National polytechnic after he was declared the winner, Mandago thanked Uasin Gishu residents for giving him a second term office.
He promised to ensure all the campaign pledges he made are fulfilled.
"I thank the people of Uasin Gishu for having faith in my leadership and giving me another five years in office," Mandago said.
"Its now time to go back to work and I will work to keep all the promises and make this county a better place," he added.
Mandago further pledged to work with all those who vied for various seats in the county.
"I want to ask by brother Buzeki and all others who lost to come so that we work together for the good of this county," he said.
