Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago has promised officials of a department a sacking if they do not work as expected.
"Issues of negotiating and pardon ended in the previous term, this time round, if I find out that you are not working, it ends there and there," said Mandago.
The firebrand Governor whose staff have known as no nonsense, was speaking as he received and flagged off drugs worth Sh15 million.
Mandago publicly warned County Executive (CeC) for Health Everlyne Rotich and Chief Officer Wilson Kemei amidst past cases of drugs theft in hospitals.
"CeC, I want you to make sure these supplies get to hospitals and only used to serve wananchi, the next time I walk around and find out otherwise, that will be the end of you," he added
Some officials working in health facilities across the country had been accused of stealing supplies to stock their chemists, most that are adjacent to hospitals.
Patients would then be referred to the private chemists to buy the drugs.
