The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) is planning to begin the process of reviewing boundaries for the constituency and wards across the country."I will be calling upon IEBC to review boundaries of wards such as Tarakwa and Olare/Ainabkoi once that time comes. These two wards are even bigger than Kapsaret constituency," said governor Mandago after the IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati paid him a courtesy call in his office, Friday."We want to be considered in the increase of wards for better representation. The ward's boundaries should be reviewed," added the Jubilee governor. He, however, called upon IEBC to put a permanent office in the county instead of just using them after five years during the electioneering period."The commission should put a permanent office in this region this will make communication easy because they will be engaging residents regularly. I will personally help them get an office," noted Mandago. The Uasin Gishu governor further commended IEBC for conducting what he termed as a 'free and fair election'. "In this county, we did not have even a single election petition, this shows that the IEBC officials in this region did a good job," he said.
