[Photo: Elvanis Ronoh]Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago has urged residents to frequently go for medical checkup.He said this will help have a healthy county thus enhance service delivery and reduce medical bills."It is good to have regular checkup at least once per year. This will help diagnose chronic diseases such as cancer and treat them at an early age," he said during the launch of county staff wellness week at the county headquarters, Monday."My government will come up with a policy that will make it mandatory for county workers to go for exercises. This will reduce medical costs by over 30 percent," he added. Mandago reiterated that his administration will construct one stadium per ward for residents to carry out exercises there.The exercise which will run for one-week targets to conduct checkup for over 5,000 county workers.
