Mandago says the DP should monitor closely Raila’s maneuvers in the name of implementing the handshake that caught many Kenyans by a surprise.

Speaking in Eldoret town on Monday, Mandago said Raila has a history of breaking political parties and Jubilee party leadership including DP Ruto should not take him for granted.

“This man (Raila) has a history. Wherever he went, he came out leaving the house in tatters beginning with FORD, KANU, CORD and we now see what’s happening in NASA,” said the vocal Jubilee governor.

“I am not against the handshake and I agree that people change but we need to be cautious because if he decides to go back to his old ways where he is standing now will break. We need to keep church leaders close to him to monitor his moves,” he added.

The surprise meeting followed by the handshake between the two has caused jitters among DP Ruto’s lieutenants most of who see the move as a ploy by the opposition chief to deny DP Ruto an outright opportunity to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2022.
