Preparations for the swearing in ceremony of the Uasin Gishu county governor-elect Jackson Mandago are now complete.
The governor-elect is scheduled to be sworn in on Monday at the Eldoret sports club.
County's Assumption of office committee that was tasked to prepare for the ceremony said the exercise will cost Sh6 million.
Addressing the press at the Uasin Gishu county headquarters in Eldoret town on Friday, the committee's chairman Peter Lelei said they expect over 10,000 people to attend the ceremony.
"Everything is complete and we are now waiting for the d-day to swear in the governor duly elected by the people," said Mr. Lelei who is also the outgoing County Secretary.
"We expect governors, Cabinet Secretaries, Principle Secretaries, ambassadors, sportsmen and women among other dignitaries to attend the swearing-in ceremony," he added.
Lady Justice Ruth Sitati will swear-in the governor-elect assisted by Eldoret Chief Magistrate Charles Ombulutsa.
