A police Officer has earned praise from the Mandera residents for his friendly and interactive manner in which he has handled their affairs.

The residents of Mandera have expressed their confidence in the young Officer, Inspector Albert Kipchumba, the OCPD of Mandera, for the manner in which he treats them with respect.

This comes amidst serious condemnation of the Police force for excessive use of force particularly during the recent demonstrations by NASA and the horrific shooting of 300 head of cattle in Laikipia.

Imran Abdishakur notes in a Facebook post, " We salute you, Sir...Just as we rebuke evil, so we shall praise the good...Be blessed."

"Chief Inspector Albert Kipchumba (Mandera Town OCS) is not your ordinary police officer, he is the face of police reforms, workaholic, humble and dedicated to serving his fellow countrymen," said another Facebook user from Mandera County, Ugas Ahmed

Farah Bin Furey adds:" Mr. Albert Kipchumba, yesterday was my first time to visit your office, and if that was the same way you treat others Mandera has all reason to smile."

Inspector Albert Kipchumba has left an impact in several stations of duty wherever he has gone.

While at Kapsoya Police Station in Eldoret, he incorporated social media in the fight of crime. He says this was necessitated by the realization that a majority of the young people were not keen on public barazas and could easily be reached through the social media.

The move earned him the envious title of 'The Facebook Cop.'

Inspector Kipchumba as also waded into the issue of protecting the girl-child rights by creating special desks within his jurisdiction to deal with abuse cases targeting girls.

This, he did when he was in Butula, Busia County. He was also featured on  a national television in one of their segments due o hi stand on protecting the right of the girl child
