Police have launched a manhunt for two Italians who are said to have sold a house in Malindi to prominent businessman Jimi Wanjigi.Police raided the house on Monday and recovered five AK 47 riffles and 93 bullets.Malindi police chief Matawa Muchangi said the Italians identified as Glorani Ferliga and Franco Fantani owned the Malindi villa before selling it to Wanjigi.Muchangi said the two Italians sold the house to Wanjingi two months ago and were in the process of handing over ownership documents, including title deeds, Baraka FM has reported.Muchangi noted that the whereabouts of the two Italians remains unknown, adding that a multi-agency team is looking for the two so that they can aid in investigations.“Our investigations indicate that the sale agreement was already sealed and the owners of the house had already vacated the house to another house in Malindi, to pave way for Wanjigi’s employees who had already occupied the house prior to the raid,” said Muchangi as quoted by the daily. “We are following some leads and we will soon get the two,” he added.Security agents on Monday raided the house in Malindi where they recovered the riffles before raiding Wanjigi’s Muthaiga home.
