Governor William Kabogo who presided over the signing on Monday said that the partnership will see the hospital host a centre for communicable diseases which has been missing in the county health facilities.
He added that his government is delighted to have such partners in developing economic and health facilities.
“My leadership is keen on fast tracking deepened relations to ensure that the key capacities by the partners benefit residents and improve their living standards,” Kabogo said.
County health executive member Jonah Mwangi Manjari said that his department will ensure that by next year, Kiambu hospitals will have all the facilities that have been missing. He added that they have moved ahead in ensuring that the hospitals patient handling capacity is increased.
“We pledge to ensure that hospitals get all the missing facilities. We have already started everything in partnership with Kenyatta University and the Philips,” Manjari said.
The University’s Vice Chancellor Prof Olive Mugenda said that they are happy that the county government of Kiambu which hosts them has been on the frontline in supporting the institutions’ innovations and affairs.
