A body belonging to a bodaboda operator has been found dumped in Kathiani, Machakos County.
Kaliluni sub-chief Joseph Mumo said the man had gone missing since Thursday before his body was discovered in Katunga forest on Sunday.
Mumo said the deceased had been reportedly called by a 'client' on the fateful night but never returned to his house.
He said the body was found three days later with a panga cuts on his head and signs of strangling on his neck.
"I was called by bodaboda chairman who told me of the disappearance of their colleague, they began the search today flanked by people from the office of the area MCA," Mumo said.
Mumo said police moved the body to Machakos Level Five Hospital's mortuary.
He said police had launched investigations into the matter.
Mumo advised bodaboda operators to avoid night operations and carrying unknown passengers at night since it may pose risks to their lives.
"If you have to carry someone at night, make sure it's someone you know and if not ensure you notify your colleagues for your own safety," Mumo said.
