Grief and shock gripped the residents of Kamara in Kuresoi North sub-county, Nakuru County after a body of a middle-aged man was found on a road side.

James Mbugua, 20 was murdered on Saturday and his body dumped at Total, Kamara location.

The residents say that they woke to a rude shock after finding the body of the diseased.

Susan Warimu, a family member of the ill-fated man says that the diseased went missing on Saturday only to receive news that Mbugua had been found dead along a road side.

“He was health yesterday. He did not turn up at night and today we received news that he is dead,” said Wairimu.

Eliza Mwangi, a neighbour of the deceased claimed that hardly a month passes without incidences of crime being committed.

“Spates of crimes have gone up and we are living in fear,” lamented Mwangi.

The same sentiments were echoed by other residents who say that insecurity in the area has deteriorated and urged the provincial administration to beef up security.

Confirming the incident, Kuresoi North OCPD, David Wambua, said investigations have been launched to know the circumstances surrounding the death.

He appealed to members of public to help in the investigations.

At the same time Kamara Ward MCA, Joseph Ngware, condemned the death of the man and urged the government to beef up security in the area.
