Police officers in Mombasa County have launched investigations into an incident where a man’s body parts were dumped near a police station.
Confirming the incident, County Police Commander Peterson Maelo said the man’s body was found on Monday morning dumped near the Central Police Station.
The deceased, identified as Mr Salim Hamisi, was a security agent working for Access Company in Mombasa.
According to Baraka FM, Mr Hamisi’s body was found cut into pieces near Balluchi hall, next to the police station.
He said the victim is believed to have been killed at around midnight, but no arrest have been made so far.
“The motive of the killing is still unknown as the police discovered his hands and other body parts a few metres from the rest of his body,” said Maelo.
The body has been taken to Coast General Morgue.
