Residents of Manyani estate in Nakuru East sub-county have lauded the police for covisgating a pata potea machine in the area after it emerged that the machine owners were messing up morals especially to school children.
It is reported that police raided the area and took away one of the machines after parents complained of the same.
The Monday action has been lauded by a section of residents saying the machine had become a menace.
"We must commend the police for taking away the machine which was messing our children in terms of morals,"said one resident who did not want to be named.
"We have complained for long over this pata potea machines which our children are addicted and now the police have done the best to remove this one"said another area parent.
Area Nyumba Kumi chairman Stanley Kinuthia said they will go on with the exercise of sweeping out the machines which are messing school going children.
"Children cannot even help their parents after school,what they think of is to visit the pata potea machines to play games"he said.
The Manyani Nyumba Kumi chairman appealed to residents to cooperate with administration whenever called to do so.
His sentiments were echoed by area chief Jane Muthoni who appealed to the society to report any crime issues in the society.
