The residents said cases of house breaking and attacks have increased in the past months and now need intensified Police patrols in the area.

Pamela Ogoi who has been a victim of such attacks claimed that Police are doing little to contain the situation despite constant pleas from the residents.

Ogoi said four men armed with crude weapons gained entry into her house on Monday morning and stole an assortment of electronics and other household goods.

She said she lost a laptop, a gas cylinder, digital camera and other household goods in the 4am incident.

“I had woken up by that time to start preparing for work when the four men forcefully entered into my house after I opened the door. They made me lie down as they ransacked my house,” said Ogoi.

She said that the incident was the fourth attack and despite reporting to Kondele Police Station, no arrests have been made.

Ogoi said she has established her home in the area and has nowhere to run to and appealed to the Police to come to her and other area residents’ aid.

The cry of Ogoi is a manifestation in other families who have fallen victims to the marauding gang in Manyatta Estate and its environs.
