Tourism Cabinet Secretary Phyllis Kandie has announced that her ministry has mapped out tourism products for offer across the country.
Kandie says the country has huge tourism potential that has not been harnessed nor located.
Kisumu last evening in her tour of Western Kenya Tourism Circuit, she said her ministry has now finished mapping out all the tourism products in the country and will soon launch the report.
“Our country has a lot to offer in terms of tourism attraction sites and my ministry has just finished mapping out all tourism products in the country,” she announced.
Kandie added that E-commerce and E-tourism must be enhanced to enable the country reap from its potentials.
She said all the products will be put on the internet to allow international and local tourists to sample what Kenya can offer.
The CS said international tourists will be given an opportunity to make a choice and travel to the country with an idea of where to visit.
She further announced that her ministry is promoting domestic tourism to allow Kenyans to travel across their country.
Kandie said business tourism is also on their list of promotion and lauded the upcoming Council of Governors meeting in Kisumu in a week’s time where over 5,000 visitors are expected to attend.
