Chief Justice David Maraga has asked Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet to provide more security to judicial officers following the carjacking of Kwale chief magistrate Doreen Mulekyo.Mulekyo was attacked and carjacked by unknown people in Diani on Thursday but was later released unharmed.“Last night’s carjacking of Kwale Chief Magistrate Doreen Mulekyo was a shocking incident to the entire Judiciary. We thank God she wasn’t hurt,” Maraga twitted on Friday.“I call upon the police to ensure the culprits are arrested. We want to see better security for all our staff, and indeed all Kenyans,” he addedThe incident happened about two months after unknown gunmen shot at Deputy Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu’s car in Nairobi injuring her driver.The driver, Titus Musyoka was shot three times along Ngong Road after dropping the DCJ at her home in Karen.
