Chief Justice nominee Justice David Maraga on Friday chaired his first meeting at the Milimani law courts.

The election committee meeting which was was the first for Maraga  since being nominated as the CJ by Judicial Service Commission on Thursday.

The meeting was attended by other CJ candidates among them David Majanja, Smokin Wanjala and justice Msagah Mbogholi.

Others included Justice Stella Mutuku and magistrates Roselyne Oganyo, Peter Gesora and Lilian Arika.

Maraga will succeed Willy Mutunga if he is approved by President Uhuru Kenyatta and the National Assembly.
