Chief Justice David Maraga has said that electoral disputes should be filed within 28 days after election.
Maraga has said that the disputes will be resolved within 14 days.
Maraga made the announcement during the launch of the Bench Book on Election Dispute Resolution.
He said the judiciary is adequately prepared to handle disputes.
“We have engaged Parliament and some of our proposals have been adopted, most notably all electoral disputes should be filed within 28 days after election results are announced, the Judiciary is committed to ensure that these cases are resolved within 14 days,” Chief Justice Maraga said.
