Mvita MP Sharrif Nassir has pledged to present a Bill at the National Assembly that will see fines on county lawsuits, return to respective counties.
The MP made the revelation when Chief Justice David Maraga paid Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho a courtesy call on Wednesday, accompanied by Judiciary Chief Registrar Anne Amadi.
Also present was Joho's deputy Dr William Kingi.
"I will be presenting a bill to Parliament to ensure that court fines arising from County related lawsuits return to those Counties to foster further developmental issues," said the lawmaker.
The leaders further led the groundbreaking of Sh445 million Mombasa High Court building dubbed 'Justice Towers'.
Maraga said the court would ease congestion of cases, once complete.
