Demeaning allegations surrounding the historic Supreme Court ruling that annulled President Uhuru Kenyatta’s victory are subjecting the county to a serious debate even before official judgment.
Already, a petition has been filed before the JSC that seeks investigation of conducts of Judges Philomena Mwilu and Isaac Lenaola for allegedly being in contact with NASA lawyers.
Interestingly, Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria now claims NASA lead lawyer James Orengo is in the possession of the full judgment, two days to the official release.
“I want to challenge Chief Justice David Maraga to also give me access to the full judgment so that I go through it,” Wrote Kuria on his Facebook account.
He further said:”People like James Orengo are already in possession of the ruling. We also have a right to know its content.”
His allegations cannot be confirmed since neither Orengo nor Maraga have come out in public to confirm or deny.
Simmering tensions regarding the ruling could escalate should the most recent petition challenging the conduct of the two judges be approved by JSC, as Jubilee politicians claim that certain judges were compromised by the opposition.
