The president of Kenya's judiciary and the Chief Justice, David Maraga, has a reason to smile.
This is after he was listed by the New African Magazine as one of the 100 most influential people on the African continent.
Maraga was vaulted to the global stage this year after his historic annulment of the August 8 presidential election.
The unprecedented ruling was one of its kind on the continent and one among a few in the world and was widely interpreted as an affirmation of judicial independence.
Other Kenyans on the list include athlete Hellen Obiri and Julie Gichuru.
This is the first time that a Kenyan Supreme Court Judge has been included on the list.
