The Supreme Court of Kenya 'snatched' the presidency from the hands of President Uhuru Kenyatta, Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung'wa has said.
Speaking to a local vernacular radio, Ichung'wa faulted the Chief Justice David Maraga-led court which he accused of sabotaging the will of the people by declaring the outcome of August 8 presidential election as invalid, null and void.
"The will of the majority of Kenyans who had rightfully voted for President Kenyatta was subverted by the court which only considered small 'insignificant' technical issues. The Justice Maraga team should have asked for a recount of votes instead of annulling the whole election," Ichung'wa said.
The legislator said Jubilee leaders will conduct door-to-door campaigns for Uhuru to win with a landslide in the poll due next month.
"The will of the people will be realised again during the fresh election," the second time MP added.
