Chief Justice David Maraga has said Kenyans are to blame for the rising corruption cases in the Judiciary.Maraga who was speaking in Mombasa on Wednesday said members of the public should report any corrupt member of the Judiciary and action will be taken against them. He said justice is not for sale and should be dispensed selflessly and fairly to all.“If you have any information on corruption, stand up against it. Give us information of any judicial officer engaging in corruption and the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) shall deal with them,” the CJ said.He made the remarks in the company of Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho after commissioning the construction of Sh480 million Justice Towers, expected to be finished in early 2019. The building will have four floors with basement parking.Others present at the ceremony were Deputy Governor William Kingi, Senator Mohamed Faki, and Mvita MP Abdulswamad.Also present were High Court presiding Judge Erick Ogola, former retired Judge Anyara Emukule, County Commissioner Evans Achoki and Chief Registrar Anne Amadi.
