Chief Justice nominee David Maraga is set to be vetted on Thursday amid three petitions opposing his nomination by JSC.
Maraga is set to be vetted by the Justice and Legal Affairs Committee after his name was forwarded by President Uhuru Kenyatta to the National Assembly.
Petitions against the Kisumu court of Appeal judge have been filed by Emmanuel Korir, Fredrick Onyancha’s and Ainamoi resident Tom Biegon.
In his petition, Korir has accused Maraga of failing to uphold the constitution in his ruling in a case involving the killing of the then Ainamoi MP David Too.
