[Photo|PSCU]Deputy President William Ruto has continued with his attacks against the Supreme Court, over a week, after it annulled President Uhuru Kenyatta's re-election.Despite criticism from across various sections against their attack to the court's judges, Ruto and Uhuru have not spared the Chief Justice David Maraga-led independent institution. The court annulled their August 8 re-election on September 1, and ordered fresh presidential election in 60 days citing irregularities and illegalities in the election, by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission. The Opposition's National Super Alliance had filed the petition, contesting Kenyatta's re-election.On Saturday, Ruto said the court was used by conmen to annul their win, and subvert the will of the people.According to him, Maraga's team sided with conmen and people who lack integrity, to take them back to the ballot, instead of the court asking for recount of the presidential votes. He added that the Supreme Court was used to subvert, shortchange and overturn the will of 15 million voters, and asked the court to “come to its senses and apologise to the people of Kenya”.This even as Uhuru at one point called the judges 'wakora' (thugs), saying he would deal with Maraga, once the fresh presidential election, set for October 17, is over.Ruto was speaking during Jubilee Party campaigns rally at Uhuru Park Nairobi.
