Chief Justice David Maraga has urged the National Police Service to focus on restoring public confidence.
Maraga has also called on the service to end the perception that the police are embedded in corruption.
The CJ made the plea during the swearing of Deputy Inspector General’s Noor Gabow of Administration Police and Edward Mbugua of Kenya Police.
He asked the duo to ensure the disciplined and professionalism of the force is beyond reproach.
The two-deputy inspector general’s assumed office after they were appointed by president Uhuru Kenyatta on 5th January 2018.
The event was also witnessed by the Inspector general of Police Joseph Boinnet and National police service chairman Johnstone Kavuludi.
The duo replaced Joe Kitili and Samuel Arachi who were recalled to the Public Service Commission
