Former Lamu County assembly speaker Hashim Fumo has criticized the Supreme Court for annulling the presidential election results.

According to Fumo, the four judges ruling in NASA's favour, led by Chief Justice David Maraga and deputy CJ Philomena Mwilu, were not fair.

He suggested that a presidential petition is sensitive and the judges should have handled it with a lot of care.

"The Supreme Court did not have handle the petition with care, they only nullified the presidential results casually", he said.

Fumo noted that the judges in their ruling did not give a priority to the country.

"Now that the judiciary decided to nullify the presidential election casually, Jubilee should accept and move on for the repeat of polls", he noted.
